Home Tweet Home Birdhouse

Home Tweet Home, the perfect way to provide a safe environment for birds to nest in your garden. Designed with the birds in mind it is made from plywood which provides good insulation properties, keeping your feathered friends cool in the summer and snug during the autumn and winter months. The 32mm diameter bird hole makes Home Tweet Home the perfect abode for Blue tits, Coal tits Marsh tits, Great tits, Nuthatches, House sparrows, Tree sparrows and many others.

Bird Care:
Keeping the house clean will help keep your birds healthy, happy and coming back for more.
If you do want to protect your birdhouse further, use a water-based preservative. Such paint/preservative types are clearly marked on the container, and are available from most hardware shops.
Preservatives should only be applied to the outside of the house. Apply in the winter, when there is a low likelihood of occupancy. This will allow time for any remaining volatile components to evaporate.

Annual cleaning of Home Tweet Home:
After the end of each breeding season, all nest boxes should be taken down and the old nesting materials removed, clean with boiling water to kill any parasites.

Installing Home Tweet Home:
Location – fix to a tree or wall. The height above ground is not critical – just make sure the house is out of reach of inquisitive humans and curious cats. It is best to mount a box facing somewhere between south-east and north, this will avoid strong direct sunlight.

Delivery Times

We use Courier Post for most orders, which allows for fast and reliable delivery to destinations across their comprehensive domestic network. Delivery times are 1-2 working days but can vary depending on a product's stock status and the intended delivery address.

Please allow an extra 1-3 days for heavy and bulky goods like chairs and desks.

New Zealand Delivery Rates

We charge a flat rate of $4.90 NZD per shipment, not including heavy and bulky goods. 

Please note we have a $50-$60 rate for shipping heavy and bulky goods like chairs and desks which will be calculated at checkout. 

Most orders are shipped using New Zealand Post and these parcels are shipped with no-signature required. For our heavy and bulky goods, these are shipped via Mainfreight with signature required.
