The feijoa comes from the highlands of Southern Brazil and the valleys ofUruguay, where it was woven into indigenous and Afro-Brazilian cultures. It wasscientifically named in Berlin, acclimatised on the French Riviera, and failedto make its fortune in California. Today, it is celebrated by one small town inthe Colombian Andes, and has become an icon of community and nationhood in NewZealand.

Of the world's roughly 30,000 edible plant species, only around 150 arenow cultivated for human consumption. Most of those were domesticated hundredsor thousands of years ago, but feijoas are among only a handful of plants thathave made this journey from the wild to the orchard in the last few generations,providing a rare opportunity to watch, up close, the myriad ways plantsseduce us.

To ensure every customer pays a fair price for delivery, an exact shipping price will be displayed to you in the checkout based on the size and weight of the products in your order and your delivery address.

Please note we have a $68-$98 rate for shipping heavy and bulky goods like chairs and desks which will be calculated at checkout.  

Most orders are shipped using New Zealand Post and these parcels are shipped with no-signature required. For our heavy and bulky goods, these are shipped via Mainfreight with signature required.
